How they sound
A ring akin to a metal snare, but with a prominent woody note and a warm finish on the decay. These timbers have a density and grain structure perfectly suited to producing some of the most distinguished snare sounds available today – extremely sensitive and articulate over a wide tuning range.
In a True Solid the fibres run unbroken down the shell walls, carrying the sound straight to the resonant head. There’s something truly unique about the attack, resonance and sustain you can only get this way.
