From the maker
“When life gives you Lemon Scented Gum…make drums!”
While the timber itself is very similar to Spotted Gum, Lemon Scented Gum takes it’s name from the distinctive citrus-like scent its leaves produce. This single piece of 11mm Lemon Scented Gum produces a round buttery controlled note, with a surprising amount of definition & colour, topped off with a nice & gooey pop.

Provenance
The tree behind this drum.
Lemon Scented Gum · Citrus cream
Corymbia citriodora
The most metallic drum in the line-up – a tight, saturated bottom end with an ear-whopping bite reminiscent of thick brass, rounded off with buttery warmth.
No shortcuts
Years in the making.
The log is rescued
Salvaged, never felled – recorded with its GPS coordinates before the first cut.
The wood learns patience
At least three years of natural air drying – sometimes far longer. Just time and patience.
The shell emerges whole
Hollowed from the very fibres of the tree – nothing between the tree and the tone.
One of one, made for you
This drum is gone.
Its wood isn’t.
Tell Paul what spoke to you about this one – he’ll carve a sibling from the same species, to your size and finish, from a log that has already waited years.
